June 8, 2016 Town of Eau Pleine Board Meeting
Chairperson Kawleski called the meeting to order. Leif made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Seconded by Roger. The motion carried. The treasurer gave her report.
Plan Commission Report. Will continue the discussion on the Livestock Ordinance and an ATV Ordinance. The County would like an all-terrain vehicle route though the town ships. Ken will look into getting a cell tower on the town’s property.
Dam Road Property: Jack made a motion to sign the survey map and Quick Claim deed deeding the property back to Consolidated. Seconded by Leif. 3 ayes. They will pay the town $1,000 toward the expense of having it surveyed.
Jack made a motion to award the contract for the town’s insurance to Rural Insurance for one year. Seconded by Leif. 3 ayes
Leif made a motion to award the contract for doing excavating work for the town to Jerry Skrzeczkoski. Excavating, End Loader, Truck and Low Boy $75.00 per hour. Seconded by Jack. 3 ayes.
Jack made a motion to issue liquor licenses to Dock on DuBay and Jolly Rogers. Seconded by Roger. 3 ayes
Leif made a motion that the town continue with a 3 man board. Seconded by Roger. Roger and Leif voted aye, Jack nay.
Jack made a motion to continue to buy the culverts up to 36” from Becker and larger ones from Farrel. Leif seconded the motion. 3 ayes.
Jack made a motion the Town Board declare the March 2016 rainfall a disaster under State Statues 323.11 and 323.14(4)(a). Seconded by Leif. Motion carried by 3 ayes.
2016 Road Work- a motion had been made that Victory and Pine Road be repaired before River Road. Victory Road will cost $6,048 and Pine $6,686 without the culverts. They were paid for in 2015. The cost for River Road will be $ 16,570. Leif made a motion to put shell rock and granite on River Road now and open it up. Seconded by Jack. 3 ayes. Leif made a motion to apply for Bridge and Culvert Aid for 2017 for Oak Hill Road, Johnson Road and Dam Road. Seconded by Roger. 3 ayes
Jack wants a camera in the town garage. One can be put in. Leif brought up that the town could buy a trailer and have all the necessary items on it for an emergency. It could be pulled by one of the dump trucks and eliminate the need for a pickup truck.
Jack made a motion to pay the bills and to adjourn. Seconded by Leif. 3 ayes.
