The Town of Knowlton is currently allowing Town of Eau Pleine residents to take their yard waste to the Town of Knowlton's compost site. The Town of Eau Pleine is paying $500 per year for the use of Knowlton’s compost site. This agreement expires on August 24, 2028 and may or may not be renewed after that time.
The compost site is located approximately 2.5 miles east of Hwy DB on the north side of Hwy C.
The Town of Knowlton compost site accepts only grass clippings, pine needles, leaves, and very small branches. No large branches, logs, or stumps are allowed. No garbage is allowed. It is open Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 am to 4 pm, from the second week of April through the second week of November.
